Do yourself a favor in the next couple of weeks and spend some time looking at new construction homes. Put it at the top of your list for things to do in Overland Park!
This Kansas City tradition is your opportunity to see the latest in construction and design. It will definitely motivate you to make some changes around your house. Or maybe it will be the turning point of you making the decision to move. There’s something about new construction that I love. It has that new house smell and feel that’s like getting a new car!
This year, The Home Builders Association is partnering with Harvesters. Their goal is to raise 55,000 meals or $18,500 for area kids this summer. The HBA will be accepting non-perishable food items at its offices at I-435 and Holmes as well as donations online at www.kcparadeofhomes.com.
2017 Kansas City Spring Parade of Homes Guidelines
Also remember when going to these new homes on the 2017 Kansas City Spring Parade of Homes, those nice subdivision agents work for the seller. Please have a buyer’s agent represent you when building a new home. It doesn’t cost you to have representation because the seller always pays the commission in real estate. But it can really cost you if you don’t have a buyer’s agent representing you in the transaction. It’s your protection against the “what ifs.” And believe me, there is a lot that can go wrong when building a new home.
New construction costs are on the rise between the cost of land, materials and labor. It’s never too early to think about building a new home. The 2017 Kansas City Spring Parade of Homes is your perfect opportunity to check out what’s available. There are lots of spec houses that are far enough along where you can choose your own finishing touches.
