All I Want for Christmas is a Home Staging Course
Has the thought of becoming a home stager intrigued you? If so, there is still time to ask Santa to sign you up for a January 2017 two day home staging course to be held in Overland Park.
Since 2006, I have been staging homes in and around Overland Park. I became an Accredited Home Staging Professional in 2006 and learned the concepts and strategies from the lady who created the concept of home staging in 1973. Ever since then, I’ve been helping home sellers create the best look for their homes, so they look better than their competition, sell faster and sell for more money.
Four times a year, I teach a course, Home Staging Stylist, to those people who are interested in starting their own home staging business. It’s a fast, two day weekend course that incorporates my concept of the art of home staging, how to start your home staging business and the actual hands-on training.
Here’s what Phyllis Estrada had to say after a busy weekend:
“Your weekend home staging course was a great learning experience for me which is exactly what I was looking for. Your classroom time was very informative. The hands-on training consultations were an eye opener of what to expect. All your years of accumulated tips and knowledge made this course very well worth it! Thanks again!”

“I chose Melinda’s home staging course over national programs because I wanted the hands-on staging component without having to travel to another state and because I wanted to learn about local staging and real estate conditions. Melinda has a wealth of knowledge and experience and shared it all freely. The class size is small, so I was able to get focused attention and answers to specific questions I had about setting up my staging business. Because Melinda is also a very successful real estate agent, I learned a lot about working with sellers and agents that will help me fine tune my marketing strategies. Melinda is a total pro and genuinely wants to help others succeed. We covered a lot of ground in two days and I was very pleased with all the ideas and information I came away with. This course on how to become a home staging stylist was all I’d hoped for and more!”
And direct from Suzanne Wolff on Facebook:
“Thank you Melinda Calkins Bartling for my home staging consultation and 5-year plan of how to make my house ready-to-sell! NO, I’m not moving anytime soon, however thanks to the brilliant work of Melinda Bartling – Overland Park KS Real Estate and Home Staging I FINALLY have a plan of where to concentrate my efforts on what to fix, how do decorate and most importantly how to de-clutter my house so it will be ready when I decide to put it on the market! Melinda is smart, FUN (yes, FUN helps!!) and really knows what she is doing. If you need a plan or a GREAT agent, please give her a call!”
It seems as though most people that sign up for the course are considering becoming a home stager in the next phase of their lives. Many are waiting for the layoff and want something to turn to when that happens. Planning always helps. And as I told Phyllis, there’s a lot involved in starting this business. It’s a great idea to get it started while you still have another job.
My first home staging course, Home Staging Stylist, for 2017 will be held Saturday and Sunday, January 21st and 22nd in Overland Park. If you have considered becoming a home stager and want to learn it from the ground up, be sure to sign up for this 2 day home staging course in Overland Park. This is your opportunity.
