Kansas City 2013 Fall Parade of Homes – September 28 – October 13
The 2013 Fall Parade of Homes is in full swing and is the largest since the Fall Parade of 2008. This year 78 builders are participating in 8 counties throughout the metro area. There are 269 new homes to see with prices ranging from $192,500 to $1.2 million. Admission is free and open to the public everyday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can pick up a guide at any of the homes, at The Home Builders Association at 435 & Holmes or get it online here. http://issuu.com/hbaofgkc/docs/2013_fall_parade_guide_-_electronic
If you discover that you would like to buy or build one of the homes you see, please use a buyer’s agent to do so. The agents at the subdivision, as nice as they are, work for the seller and are not looking out for your best interest. You will not save money by using the agent at the subdivision. The builders agree when they list the house for sale to pay the listing agent and the buyer’s agent. If you don’t have an agent, the listing agents get the full commission. I know it’s hard to understand but a buyer’s agent doesn’t cost you – they oftentimes save you money when somewhere in the scheme of building or buying new construction and things get messed up, if you don’t have an agent fighting for you, the seller will win every time. It’s kind of like going to court without an attorney. It’s not a good idea to be unrepresented when investing several hundred thousand dollars and you are going into it blindfolded.
I would be happy to talk to you further about selling your current home and building a new home. You can call me direct at (913) 515-3250 or contact me here.
