What’s Your Plan for Rightsizing?
My clients, Tom and Kathy in Kingsville had a plan for rightsizing and it worked. They are now living happily ever after at the lake and enjoying their retirement.
The Parade of Homes always gets people thinking about creating a plan for rightsizing. Is now the time to make the move? If you’re an empty nester, boomer or senior, it’s a definite process.
No matter what you choose to call it – downsizing, rightsizing or just plain moving on – it’s going to happen.
Are you ready to commit to a plan for rightsizing?
- Have you been dreaming about selling your home?
- Do you envision yourself living somewhere other than where you are now and wish you could snap your fingers and make it happen?
- Do you see yourself on the golf course, lake, or in a smaller, maintenance provided community around other people much like you?
Hardly a week goes by that I don’t run into someone who tells me they want to move but it’s too overwhelming. My post, “Are You Living in House Hell?” sums it up for many people. They are living in a home that no longer serves them. Funny thing is, many people would rather stay where they are and be unhappy than to move on to a home that would suit their current needs, wants and desires. It’s just easier.
What’s next?
Your next move is inevitable. It will come. I’m currently working with several couples who are planning their next move. Some have waited too long and are now requiring their children to help out. Needless to say, things aren’t happening in a very efficient time frame. Your kids have very busy lives. It’s up to you to plan your move while you still can.
No matter where you want to go, I can help you relocate through my strong Keller Williams Realtor network around the country. Or if you want to move to a maintenance provided community locally, you can start your search here.
It’s your choice where and how you live your life. But if you’re thinking you’d like to figure out how to move on to your next phase of life, check out my 5 Year Downsizing Plan. Then call me at (913) 515-3250 and let’s have a 15 minute conversation to see how I can help you with your plan for rightsizing.
What are your thoughts? Please comment or forward this post to someone you know who would benefit. It’s a life changing, emotional experience that requires having a vision and a big why behind it.
